Rasmussen unleashed, finally (MD-Sen)
Edited on Wed Feb-22-06 02:24 PM by indigo
Under lock & key for a few days as premium only, but here's the latest Rasmussen for MD-Senate:

The latest Rasmussen Reports election poll shows Cardin attracting 49% of the vote while Steele earns just 35% (see crosstabs).

Steele is essentially tied when matched against former NAACP President Kweisi Mfume--42% for Steele, 41% for Mfume.

Comments on poll volatility by Rasmussen:

The similarity between the current survey, the November survey, and earlier surveys suggests a general stability in the race. In both November and the current survey, Cardin earned 49% of the vote and held a solid lead over Steele. Also, in both surveys, Steele and Mfume were essentially tied.

In the match-up against Cardin, Steele's support in the current survey is down a few points since November. This could be statistical noise or the result of recent problems with the Steele campaign. Several members of the campaign team have quit in recent weeks.

2. No primary polling
Only Steele vs. leaders Cardin & Mfume.

I think the link problem is due to the precentage signs, let's see if this works:

3. Thanks!
I like Lichtman, but I don't think he has a chance. Which is too bad, because he's more progressive than Cardin.

Anway, this poll is just another reason why Cardin should be the nominee come Nov.

5. This makes perfect sense. Cardin is just as high quality and honest..
as Paul Sarbanes. They are idealogically similar, both Democrats, and this is a blue state where Bush and Co have a 60%+ dissapproval rating.

7. I will feel better when someone other than Rasmussen says it but
it does appear that Steele's campaign is more or less stuck in the "true believer" rut.

8. Unless Mfume wins the nod. Then all bets are off.

9. Mfume appears to be going nowhere at the moment.
