Internal Polling shows Duncan within 5% of O'Malley.
Edited on Sun Jun-04-06 07:14 AM by nickshepDEM
“Up until now, the O’Malley campaign has been running a rose garden strategy, ignoring (Montgomery County Executive) Doug Duncan as though he does not exist, and (running as if) O’Malley is going to be an easy winner in September,” political analyst Barry Rascovar said.

Rascovar added, “In fact, that’s not the case. Internal polls show the gap may be less than 5 percentage points.”

2. Apparently Duncan is the candidate with the support
of the Maryland Republican Party. WBAL with the assistance of the O'Malley loathing Barry Rascovar are assisting the Republican agenda. If I were Ehrlich I would want to run against Duncan as well:

3. Duncan lost me with those detestable "these guys" ads
Wrapping O'Malley and Ehrlich in the same tortilla.

He's gone from "I can support him if he wins the nom" to "I guess I can hold my nose and vote for him".

4. You Know, You are so right
The final straw for me was Duncan's stunt in busing Baltimore supporters to disrupt an O'Malley appearance in Mo Co. I no longer feel I could actively work for his election should he get the nod. That is the problem with the negative attacks on a fellow Dem. I would likely still vote for him in November, but like you, I will be holding my nose. Sadly, I don't think it needed to be this way and now it appears it is going down to bare knuckles, and blood will be drawn. Good for the Repukes, bad for us and we have Duncan to thank for this.
