Why is Ehrlich pushing voting by absentee ballot?
Edited on Thu Oct-05-06 10:22 PM by mcg
I was going to vote by absentee ballot, but now I don't know what I'll do.

Consider this thread:
Democrats Beware of Absentee Voting – Especially Where Verified by Diebold
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=2328220&mesg_id=2328220

"Absentee ballots are very easy to toss out. Historically, they've been the first to go into the trash when fraudsters run the show. Moreover, those voting absentee can't know if they've been quietly taken off the books, as countless would-be voters were two years ago….

And, most important, a high turn-out on Election Day will help immensely to pre-empt, or at least complicate, another theft by the Republicans, whose fraud will be much harder to explain if millions have showed up to vote. This is why the GOP in Maryland and Colorado (and elsewhere) is pushing people to vote absentee."

I don't trust Ehrlich one bit, and his promotion of absentee ballots makes me wonder.

1. Ehrlich made it very clear that he did not like/trust Diebold machines
Particularly after the screw-ups on Primary day. He demanded a return to paper-ballots and was denied his request. Maybe he's doing this to subvert the powers that be?

3. Of course he doesn't like
them now, he couldn't replace every Dem with a Repuke in the state election board. He loved/trusted Diebold machines and fought the paper trail when he thought he could replace everyone with people he could control.

5. I'm voting Avsentee
Because I don't trust those machines. I voted during the primary and when they tried to activate my card it took 5 different cards before they could get one activated. Guzzian (sp?) Dem in Howard County said that as soon as he put his card into the machine it TURNED OFF and 30 minutes later when they got it turned back on it said he already voted!!!

I don't trust those machines one bit.
