Maryland needs more election judges.

I heard on the local (DC) news yesterday that Maryland needs more people to sign up to work the elections.
Most of the election judges are elderly and are not computer literate.

I don't know how the Free State handles hiring people, We contact our county electoral board in Virginia. The pay here isn't great, it requires most people to burn a vacation day and the hours are long, but if you are a part of the process, you know that you are contributing to fair elections.

3. I am serving this year and did in 2004 as well

I was spurred by my concern over vote fraud due to Diebold Electronic equipment. It is a very long day, but I am glad to do it.

4. I am trying

I sent several requests through the web form for my county. I haven't yet received a response. I am going to try to call them between classes on Monday. I wonder if there are any more training sessions scheduled before election day. I really want to do this.
