4. Im confused...
How can they be calling it for Cardin, when none of the precincts have even reported yet?

6. Because they probably got the preliminary numbers in
They put the tapes up from machines on the wall and they have people there calling in the numbers before they reach the election office. That's how I knew Steele won in my district because I saw the numbers before I left.

5. CNN: Cardin and O'Malley win!
It looks like CNN.com is reporting that O'Malley won too!

Strange that they're both losing in the precincts that have reported, I assume it's based in part on exit polling?

7. Maybe
The votes have already been pretty much tallied up, but each county is just dickin around announcing each of their individual precincts first before officially announcing the winners?

8. Don't know.
Generally, early MD returns always go Red to Blue because they count the smaller, rural areas first. What it usually boils down to is margins in those areas and turnout in the larger areas. In another thread, I noted that this was the first time I have ever been called by the Party in a GOTV effort. Full credit to those who worked so hard...

10. On the local radio station
They claim their sources tell them CBS etc are making their claims based on exit polls.

But this is a station run by RW idiots that broadcast one RW dittohead liar after another and hate Dems... When they first reported CBS etc calling it for Cardin/O'Malley, they sounded like they were gonna cry LOL Then followed up w/ but but but... Steels doing well here (in bumfuck western md) whaaaa whaaaa

12. Governor O'Malley.
I have heard that before, but I'll be damned if it ever sounded as good as reading it in your post.

I actually laughed out loud with joy while voting at the chance to vote against Ehrlich again.

16. GOD I hope so...
Anyone catch Steele's speech just now? He said he's not conceding until the absentee ballots are counted and they don't even start entering those into those worthless machines until THURSDAY.

I'm worried....

WBAL and WJZ are stressing, "these are just exit polls" and that moron Audra Miller from the State Repukes just said that "exit polls are about as reliable as sticking your finger in the wind."

ummmm.. huh?

17. yeah, except...
all over the world exit polls are used to show that the election process is or is not corrupt.

19. Still...
Considering how much Ehrlich pleaded for Republicans to vote absentee, is anyone else *really* worried about this?
