I guess we donated more money than most at the annual Montgomery County Democratic Brunch.

Had to sit up front and share my table with Senator and Mrs. Ben Cardin, Senator Barbara A. Mikulski, State Democratic party chair Terry Leirman, and State Comptroller Peter Franchot, with about six of us civilians. My wife chatted with Susan Turnbull, vice chair of the Democratic National Committee, who she knows from older days.

Martin O'Malley was about ten feet away at the next table.

I can't say that this happens very often.
