Earthquake
My husband called around 11 am and said that his daughter who lives in Dundalk and was home sick with the 'flu called him to report feeling a small earthquake. According to her there was a 2.0 quake with an epicenter just off the north tip of Kent Island. It was about 6 miles down. Personally I'd call it a tremor. Husband didn't feel anything in Annapolis, but he was running around trying to get out the door on a shopping trip with the toddler.

4. The ones in Boston
felt sort of like standing on the sidewalk when a gravel truck rumbles past. It was barely noticeable, the type of thing that would cause forks to pause in midair and a "What the hell was THAT?" expression on the face of a diner for about a second and a half.

6. Of course if you live where such minor quakes almost never...
...happen, that would be significant. Would such a tremor in California be a warning of something major about to happen?

5. Imagine a child on a tricycle going over a crack on a sidewalk
about 5 miles from where you're sitting. Assuming the child is small, very small.

2.0? On Kent Island? And somebody in Dundalk felt it? I wonder if my parents' old house in Edgemere is still standing?
