Students targeted in apparent hit lists discovered at Lawrence high school
LAWRENCE, Mass. -- Students at Catholic Central High School in Lawrence are uneasy after two, official hit lists turned up in the school.

"Some kids are afraid, but I think it's just a prank," said Junior Delahoza, who is a student at the school. "It's really nothing serious, but you really have to take this seriously."

The letters said 10 boys would be killed and one dismembered. The girls were also threatened with impending doom

"We believe it was written by a student," Chief John Romero, of Lawrence Police Department, said. "We believe it was written by the same individual. It appears in the second note that was found in the girls bathroom that it was done with the opposite writing hand to make us believe it was not the same person."

The suspect wrote the deaths were, "top priority... enjoy your last days of life," and that the killings would be "making society better by taking away the bad."

School officials said they are working with police and believe it's all a prank, but at this point, they can't and won't take any chances.

Police look at connection to 'hit list'

LAWRENCE, Mass. — Police have seized two computers in connection with a MySpace Web page that appeared this week threatening the same nine girls listed in a note found at Central Catholic High School last week.

One computer was seized from the Methuen home of a 17-year-old girl who is a junior at Central Catholic, police Chief John Romero said.

That girl has admitted to creating the MySpace page under the name "cchskilla," Romero said. A second computer was seized from a home in Salem, N.H., though Romero would not say how it was connected to the case. No charges have been filed yet. Romero would not identify the girl or say if she was one of the girls on the note.

The page, which was online for only about four hours, had three photographs. One contained all nine of the Central Catholic students identified on the self-proclaimed "official hit list" found in a women's bathroom at the school last Thursday. A similar note, likely written by the same person, was found in a men's bathroom the day before.
