Brockton drug sweep snares 22 suspects

BROCKTON — Police this morning were still out picking up alleged drug dealers after a major sweep aimed at ending street sales of crack cocaine netted at least 22 suspects on Tuesday.
A total of 28 defendants were being sought for the sale and distribution of drugs in Brockton, according to the Plymouth County district attorney's office.

BROCKTON — Authorities released the names and charges lodged against 16 of the 22 people arrested and charged Tuesday:
Benjamin Neal, 40, of 3 Erie Ave., two counts of unlawful distribution of cocaine, subsequent offense, and two counts unlawful distribution of cocaine within a school zone.
Michael Petroski, 30, of 54 North Main St., unlawful distribution of cocaine and unlawful distribution of cocaine within a school zone.
Jeffrey Etienne, 17, of 139 Longwood Ave., two counts of unlawful distribution of cocaine and unlawful distribution of cocaine within a school zone.
Kevin Brandao, 17, of 2 Huntington Place, second floor, unlawful distribution of cocaine and unlawful distribution of cocaine within a school zone.
Dalber Martins, 22, of 12 Henry St., unlawful distribution of marijuana, unlawful distribution of marijuana within a school zone and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Carlos Gomes, 22, of 31 Cary St., first floor, unlawful distribution of marijuana, unlawful distribution of marijuana within a school zone and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Patrick Voltaire, 21, of 18 Farrington St., Apt. 3, unlawful distribution of cocaine, unlawful distribution of cocaine within a school zone and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Emmanuel Goncalves, 20, of 21 Hamilton St., unlawful distribution of a counterfeit substance.
Wayne Ruffin, 20, of 52 Mass Ave., two counts of unlawful distribution of cocaine and two counts unlawful distribution of cocaine within a school zone.
Adrialino Vicente, 25, of 112 Forest Ave., Apt. 2, two counts of unlawful distribution of cocaine and two counts unlawful distribution of cocaine within a school zone.
Joao Teixeira, 18, of 726 East St., unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device, unlawful distribution of cocaine and unlawful distribution of cocaine within a school zone.
Mongato Goncalves, 19, of 249 Green St., second floor, unlawful distribution of a counterfeit substance.
