Campaign for a US Department of Peace www.thepeacealliance.org www.madop.org
Also: The Heartbeat of Peace Festival set for Sunday, Sep 23, 11:00 - 7:00 at Aspinwell in Lenox, (the old Lenox House Shops). Rt 7
This Festival is an all day informational and entertainment event with live music interspersed with short 5 - 10 minute talks from representatives of the various groups who will be tabling their information and soliciting donations. There will also be a Speaker’s Forum where speakers will be giving longer talks on topics relating to peace and social justice with questions and discussion to follow.
This first annual Festival promises to be a large, well attended event on busy Rt 7. Our purpose is to allow any and all peace, justice and outreach groups to set up information about their organizations and bring their message to the public. The Peace Collaborative's mission is to form an organizational network of groups aligned in spirit and working for the common good, and for sharing events such as this one.
