Brockton's racist, lying, fireman-slapping High School Drop-Out Mayor Harrington screwed-up AGAIN!
Brockton mayor's power plant flier causes flap
By Maria Papadopoulos, Enterprise staff writer

BROCKTON— Some Ward 4 residents are questioning the timing of a campaign flier mailed by the Committee to Re-Elect Jim Harrington declaring the mayor's opposition to a proposed power plant on Oak Hill Way.

Some residents said they received the flier in the mail on Friday, less than one day after Harrington told The Enterprise he is opposed to the power plant, citing a consultant's report on its possible environmental impacts.

Harrington declared his opposition to the project late Thursday afternoon just after receiving the report, which he commissioned, from the Wakefield-based environmental firm Metcalf & Eddy.

His opponent in the mayoral race, Jass Stewart, said he believes Harrington prepared the flier, printed on thick glossy paper, before receiving the report.

“He spent thousands of taxpayers' money for (information) that was already there,” said Virginia Jeppson, 75, who lives a half-mile from the proposed power plant site.
