It turns out ground beef sold in New Hampshire is involved in a major recall.Hannaford and Stop & Shop supermarkets are recalling ground beef as part of a nationwide recall
by Cargill Incorporated.
Cargill says the beef may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria.Initially, Cargill said New Hampshire was not included in the recall.
Stop & Shop is asking customers to return all Stop & Shop ground beef and ground beef patties
with use-by or freeze-by dates of October 19, October 31, and Nov. 3.
Hannaford is recalling all ground beef products with use-by or freeze-by by dates between Oct. 11
and Oct. 31. The recall also extends to Century Farms ground beef products purchased in Hannaford stores.
