No lines of traffic on the main thoroughfares. No wait for a table for four at any restaurant. No packed parking lots at the movie theatres. No "No Vacancy" signs on the little B&B's that dot Rte. 6A.
No long lines at the gas pumps...
Any one else notice this?

1. The traffic was awful coming home on Monday |
|
Otherwise, it was very quiet. We noticed that there were many more European tourists than in years past. Normally, they come later in the season.

I will be there in July. In 3 weeks I'll be in Storyland in NH and am wondering what the crowds will be like.

3. Seems like a lot of people chose to go nowhere on Memorial Day but, instead, |
|
did things around their neighborhood or worked on their yard, etc.
I think things will pick up as the summer progresses because a lot of people are going to drive to a vacation spot rather than fly (if they go at all). At least, this is what I'm hearing around town.
