How do I register to vote?
To vote in the 2008 election, you must register by Oct. 15, 2008.You can register by: Visiting your local registration office. Mass. town clerks by city and town.
Visiting the Registry of Motor Vehicles
By mail. If you register by mail, your form must be post-marked by Oct. 15.
To request a form by mail, visit this website.
Technically, you only need to register once. However, you are supposed to register again if you move to a different city or town.
To verify you are registered to vote, contact your local registration office to ensure your name still appears on voter lists.

You can vote by absentee ballot if you:Will be absent from your city or town on election day
Have a physical disability that prevents you from voting at the polling place
Cannot vote at the polls due to religious beliefs
The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot is noon the day before the election -- Monday, Nov. 3, 2008.
You can fill out your absentee ballot at the clerk's office, request that an absentee ballot be mailed to you, or download an application below.
