Former Stoughton Town Engineer James Miller indicted on child pornography charge

DEDHAM — Former Stoughton Town Engineer James E. Miller has been indicted on a charge of possession of child pornography in Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham.

A Stoughton District Court official said Miller was indicted in March and the case has been bound over to superior court for further action.

The date of Miller’s arraignment in superior court has not been set, a superior court official said.

Miller, 62, of Seekonk resigned as Stoughton’s town engineer in 2008 amid allegations he downloaded inappropriate material on his work computer at Town Hall. Police confiscated the computer for a forensic examination that led to the single charge of possession of child pornography.
