Channel 11, a PBS station is now gone. In addition to the few stations we receive, they have also taken the cooking channel and(in my area) Channel 8. All in the last couple of months.
Since we get-or used to get- channels 2 thru 22, this is a big loss. Why? Well, it seems, according to Comcast, they are required to offer certain channels based on demographics. If this is so, someone screwed up this demographic, we are not a Spanish speaking community. Eliminate Ch 3,(for the VCR etc) and the newly eliminated channels (3), we are down to 3 Spanish speaking channels, 3 on line shopping, our town channel, NECN,and Fox(barf) along with a couple of cartoon channels.
My choices are now NECN and one remaining PBS channel.
I get the impression that Comcast is trying to drive us bottom tier subscribers out of the picture. I cannot afford any more than the basic and yet, this basic really has nothing to offer me.
