Nothing found at Brockton court after 2nd bomb scare in week
BROCKTON —
A bomb threat phoned into Brockton District Court Tuesday afternoon forced the second evacuation of the building in a week as police cordoned off surrounding streets downtown, police and fire officials said.
A police K-9 unit search found no suspicious packages or devices. The building was cleared. Brockton authorities reopened the roads surrounding the building and state police personnel have left the scene

Police cordoned off portions of streets around the courthouse, which remained closed as state police continued to search the building around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The nine prisoners were transported to Plymouth House of Correction, after they were taken to the police department following the evacuation, police said.
Tuesday’s bomb scare followed another scare on Thursday after a suspicious car downtown was parked across from the courthouse. The dark blue Toyota Matrix had no license plate, no inspection sticker. A key was sticking out of the trunk lock, and a leather duffle bag was inside. It was parked mere feet from the courthouse and a former federal building.
