Sen. Kerry to receive Distinguished American Award
A Conversation with Senator John Kerry
Monday, February 28, 2005, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Kennedy Library, Boston

Senator Kerry, the Democratic nominee for President of the United States will receive the distinguished American Award from the Kennedy Library Foundation. He will share his thoughts on U.S. policies both home and abroad with Pulitzer Prize winning Boston Globe columnist Tom Oliphant.

I have reserved a block of 10 seats for this event. The reservation guarantees a seat in the building, but not necessarily in the hall (overflow goes to a seperate room). Seats are given out on a first come-first served basis. Doors open at 4:30 and we would be admitted as a group (you snooze, you lose).

If you wish to attend, PM.

1. Will Cspan cover this event?
If not, maybe we could coerce them into it.

6. I'll be seeing the person who handled the membership for our
Dem Town Committee this morning . A little bragging rights- she said that JFKLibrary told her that with our group membership our Town Committee was the first to join in this capacity.

It wasn't expensive

What's PM and how do I do that to give you info?

7. This event will be covered by CSPAN
I just got a call from the Kennedy Library events coordinator, she confirms the event will be broadcast by CSPAN.

Checking the CSPAN schedule at http://inside.c-spanarchives.org:8080/cspan/schedule.csp, it is not yet listed, so I am not sure it will be live or delayed.

If you are interested in going and want to sit in the main room, plan to arrive by 4:15PM. Doors open at 4:30PM. I have a block of 10 tickets reserved, but if not claimed by 4:30PM they will be forfeited.

PM me if you are going.

8. Kerry a GREAT leader

I'd like to be there to thank him for fighting for the America that Bush opresses. I love this man and would follow him through a minefield.

10. All forums to the JFKLibrary are free and open to the public
By making a reservation you are reserving a seat in the building{you might not get in the main room but they have spill over auditoriums]

I'll plug the forums for a minute:

All the dems who ran for President were at a forum loooong before their own debates

The Clintons,Krugman, mediatypes like Ben Bradlee and Russert,Maureen Dowd,Madeline Albright,Paul Farmer and Amartya Sen.... I could go on and on

JFKLibrary forums- Boston's best kept secret

Go - you'll love them
