2. 6-9 inches expected here in Baltimore today...
and more tonight.

Most schools are closed, and the snow hasn't reached us yet.

Last week, we got about 4 inches of thick, wet "painful snowball" type snow... the kind that, if packed and lobbed at you, would leave bruises!

The weather reports here last night and this morning have been strangely ambiguous, though.

If the storm track moves either East or West of the predicted course, we'll either get megasnow or freezing rain or rain mixed with snow.

Everyone just shrugs and plans for the worst.

4. Yeah but it beats the heck out of watching your house or neighborhood
...slowly slide downhill in a mudslide like in many parts of the left coast! In Philly, we're told to expect 3-6, 4-8 or 5-10 inches before it's over. With a 7-year old son and a 4-year old daughter, we cannot afford to waste a flake! We'll be out there makin' more snowmen and snow forts. Enjoy it if you can; keep a stiff upper lip if not.
