Labor Day Weekend, Stalled Traffic, Cape Cod, Highway Blogging. You In?
What a FANTASTIC way to get OUR message out.

I'm organizing a Labor Day mass-exodus Freeway Blog Party.

Tradition on Cape has locals bidding farewell to the tourists in hours of S-L-O-W moving traffic, and I intend to take advantage of this.

If you are on Cape Cod Labor Day weekend (Friday Sept.2-Mon Sept 5)
this is your invitation to join me.

Tho' I'm still working on some logistics, there will be a potluck BBQ on Sunday Sept 4, with some entertainment. Please pm me if you are interested, or need a place to stay.

Mark your calendars. Also if anyone has any good ideas, for the weekend, spill them.

This will be x-posted in New England states forum.

2. That's awesome! Now, how about God Hates Shrimp?

God Hates Shrimp

Shrimp, crab, lobster, clams, mussels, all these are an abomination before the Lord, just as gays are an abomination. Why stop at protesting gay marriage? Bring all of God's law unto the heathens and the sodomites. We call upon all Christians to join the crusade against Long John Silver's and Red Lobster. Yea, even Popeye's shall be cleansed. The name of Bubba shall be anathema. We must stop the unbelievers from destroying the sanctity of our restaurants.

Leviticus 11:9-12 says:
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

however- I missed the call. A very nice message was
left for me and they plan on getting back to me next week
regarding logistics/permits etc for a labor day informational-educational protest. Swear to the Goddesses next pay check I'm sending them $$$$. (Two weeks ago sent$$ to Conyors- a few days ago $ to Symbolman- only wish I had more)

Good thing I ride the bike to work. The $$$ I save in gas all seems to be going to the people who deserve it!

10. You know, I've lived in MA all my life
And I've only been to the Cape twice. Once in May 20 years ago, and once to Nantucket 29 years ago. Is this a North Shore/South Shore thing? I think people North of Boston tend to either go to the Lakes region in NH for vacation or go to Cape Ann.

Anyone else never go to the Cape?
