Well, what can I say? Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, is the alma mater of none other than ultra-conservative and reactionary Associate Justice Clarence Thomas, U.S. Supreme Court. Yup. It is. However, Thomas went to Holy Cross under "affirmative action" as he did all his education and/or u/ the gratuity of the Roman Catholic Church.
As a Bay Stater born and raised in Massachusetts (w/ certain hiatuses in other New England states), I feel I know my colleges particularly law schools since I am a graduate of them.
Yup. Holy Cross, although a Jesuit undergraduate college, is on the conservative side of Jesuit colleges. Lemme try to clarify this. Boston College in Newton (Boston), Massachusetts is one of the more liberal, expansive, and better Roman Catholic undergraduate and graduate universities in America. Boston College is also a Jesuit university. It has an excellent law school as well. But, it, too, does graduate some rather conservative thinkers at times but not to the overall extent as does Holy Cross in Worcester. In addition, Holy Cross has a chip on its shoulder regarding Boston College, always feeling it's second best (or worse).
In short, if your friend's daughter can transfer into Boston College, she'd be in a better school.
Oh, and btw, Boston College, despite its official name, is a university with several colleges under its umbrella.
