The Osterville Madam is facing new charges that she assaulted a legal secretary while a probe into allegations that she was plotting to bump off her millionaire husband is heating up.
According to a source close to the case, Anne Simon's former jailhouse lover is set to meet with Harwich police probing claims that Simon was planning to give her 71-year-old husband, Ken, a fatal Viagara overdose or shove him down a staircase. The woman has told the Herald she has Simon on tape detailing the alleged murder plot. Simon has denied planning to kill her husband and calls her accuser ``a liar.''
Simon, who served six years in jail for running a high-end hooker ring on Cape Cod in the 1990s, is facing assault charges stemming from a scuffle with a secretary in a law office Monday. Simon, 43, was there to give a deposition to attorney Jerry Nissenbaum, who is handling Ken Simon's children's battle to gain control of their father's estimated $9 million estate.
The children claim Anne Simon has blown through $600,000 of their father's cash since the couple married last summer. Ken Simon, a former mutual fund manager, is dying from liver disease attributed by family members to years of drinking and has been declared incompetent by a Barnstable judge. The children have filed for divorce on their father's behalf.
