Gabrieli edges closer to running for governor

Businessman Chris Gabrieli took another step yesterday toward running for governor,
filing paperwork so his campaign committee can raise and spend money to seek the
Democratic nomination.

Gabrieli also plans to put $50,000 of his own money in the account in the next day or two
and is actively soliciting support from Democratic delegates in order to be considered
by the party's convention in June, an aide said yesterday.

"We are aggressively collecting them now," Joe Ganley, Gabrieli's spokesman, said
of the signatures. He said they are approaching the needed 500 in order to be considered
by the convention for its endorsement.

1. I got a polling call 2 days ago....

It could have been paid for by anyone, Reilly, Patrick or Gabrieli. And by paid I mean it was from a hired agency (they identified themselves, do no remember the name). It definately was not a volunteer.

The question was "who will you be supporting at the convention, strong Reilly, moderate Reilly, moderate Patrick or strong Patrick."

Gabrieli is probably going after those who replied "moderate".

Wish I had thought that Gabrieli was behind it. If anyone gets such a call, answer "anybody but Gabrieli".

they called once for mrs. wt2 and once for me ...

btw, when i asked who was funding the study, they said "it's for a study to be published in the newspaper" ... yeah, right ...
