State mandated Health Insurance? How about that $10,000

annual deductible? If I had $10,000 in an account to pay for an annual health insurance deductible, I could afford to buy health insurance. Where would any of us who can't afford health insurance come up with the $10,000 ANNUAL deductible? This is about as stupid as anything I've heard yet! How about just making it mandatory for all health insurance providers to offer affordable health insurance. Form a pool if necessary. Mandate the rates so those of us not in "group" plans can afford to buy an alternate plan. Sliding Income scale? Even that is a possibility. $10,000 deductible? Ridiculous! By the time the politicians come up with some type of a reasonable solution to the health care crisis, we'll all be too sick(or worse) to do the paperwork. Good Grief, Bad to Worse!
