The "inside" word is that McGovern is doing very well ... things aren't looking very good for Crews ...
I just went to Crews' website to do a little campaign research ... he makes the following argument: Massachusetts Democrats are hypocrites because they want to put Kerry's replacement before the voters but didn't want to put the "Gay Marriage" amendment before the voters ...
Well, I doubt Right-Wing Ron reads DU, but here's my response anyway: Nice try Ron but you've got this one completely ass backwards ... it is the Republicans who are the hypocrites for exactly the same arguments you made ... what your foolish argument fails to recognize is that many Democrats refused to put the "Gay Marriage" issue before the voters because the Massachusetts Constitution, as interpreted by the state's highest court, bans discrimination against gays ... neither you nor the voters should have an opportunity to vote on whether anyone's civil liberties should or should not be upheld ... the Democrats agreed with the position of the state's highest court ... that's why many of them voted not to put the issue before the voters ...
choosing our next senator to replace President Kerry, on the other hand, is what our democracy is all about ... do you seriously want to argue that one man in the statehouse should decide our next senator? is that how things are done in Georgia? perhaps what confused you was the phrase "one man, one vote" ... you probably thought this meant that Romney should get the only vote ...
so, Ron, it is you and your gay hating, undemocratic friends who are the hypocrites ... you like to promote "family values" as long as you get to choose which families you value and which ones you don't ...
Jim McGovern is going to win and your campaign of hate is going nowhere with or without Romney's money ... Ron Crews, you're gonna lose ...
