1000+ Protesters in Grand Rapids, MI today
I am so proud of my fellow Grand Rapidians...this is right-wing heaven.
One thousand plus protesters stood up to "The Worst President Ever" today!!!
Great pictures at the link

From the Grand Rapids Press :

Before the speech, about 1,000 protesters lined the south side of Lakeside Drive SE from Wealthy Street SE to the boat launch at Collins Park. Police kept them confined to the south side of the street behind blue barriers.

Many were waving handmade anti-war signs. Former CIA official Frank McGovern led several hundred protesters in anti-war chants at the entrance to the boat launch.

Melissa Leitch, of Rockford, took the afternoon off from her job at Field's Fabrics to bring her youngest daughter and three friends to the protest. Leitch was carrying a sign that said "Mission Impossible" on one side and "Peace is Patriotic" on the other.

"I think it's really important. I think I need to show my daughter we need to stand up for what's right," she said.

Leitch said she originally supported the war.

"At the beginning, I started to believe the lines they were feeding us," she said.

1. This is great!
I heard from one of our Draft Gore leaders that they gathered 238 signatures on our petitions there today!

is Bush's base shrinking so rapidly that only a high school auditorium can hold his 'crowds'. At this rate, by the end of the year he'll be giving policy address's in hotel conference rooms
