Good news on the Detroit River
http://wwj.typepad.com/michigan_future/2007/06/detroit-riverfr.html

The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy will officially open the East Riverfront to the public on Friday with a ribbon-cutting at the new Rivard Plaza & Pavilion at 10:30 a.m.

The event will celebrate the first significant opening of new public space on the Detroit International Riverfront since its inception in early 2003. More than 75 percent of the East Riverfront project, from Joe Louis Arena to Gabriel Richard Park, just east of the MacArthur (Belle Isle) Bridge, is complete and open to the public.

1. Joan Jett, Indian dancer
The Indian dancer was very entertaining tonight(Sunday). Joan Jett was excellent and they really got the crowd involved. Some of the songs were:

Bad Reputation
Do You Wanna Touch Me There?
Crimson & Clover
I Love Rock & Roll
I Hate Myself For Loving You
Mary Tyler Moore Theme
Everyday People (Sly & Family Stone cover)
Love Is Pain
Androgyny

The songs off the new album sounded great, too. I'm very glad I went.
