Please join us every Saturday from 12noon-1pm at the southeast corner of Oak and Fort Street (between Northline and Eureka - let me know in comments if you need better directions.) We've been meeting every week for a couple months now, and interest and participation has been growing. Most gratifying to me has been the number of people passing by who stop to stand with us. Just "regular" people. Not bloggers, not activists, not the kind of obsessive people we tend to encounter on places like DU, but folks who are just sick of what's happening and are thrilled to find people to talk to about it. They feel helpless about the situation we are in, and apparently we are providing them an outlet to express themselves, and hopefully a way to get even more involved.
If you live nearby or will be in the area, please come by. We have plenty of signs, or you can bring your own. I've been keeping a record of our protests (with pics) here:
http://wyandotteprotest.blogspot.com/Spread the word, or just do it on your own street corner. Pick a day, time, and place, and let people know. Then just show up. A pretty simple concept, really, but if you "build" it, they will come. The people are ready to do this.
Hope to see some new faces this week!
Peace
