We don't want him here.

4. She can't run again/term limits
I'm not sure who the dems are going to put up in 2010, but they better start thinking about it.

My ideal candidates: 1. Mark Hackell, Macomb County Sheriff. His office has dealt with some high-profile cases well, recently. He also started charging idiots for any rescues off the ice on Lake St. Clair, if they already have been rescued in the past.
2. Wayne County Executive and former Sheriff Robert Ficano. He has had to clean house in his current job. He also instituted some of the first internet-predator interception programs in the nation.

I'd be looking for the repubs to find a less religious candidate this time around, someone who will appeal to independent voters. Gorcyca or Bouchard, or someone from rural (but not western) Michigan.

5. John Cherry?
I would have concerns about Cherry running, esp. if things don't pick up soon. Nor is he all that photogenic. Having said that, I have heard a lot of good things about him.

Of course, I would encourage the Guv to either seek re-election in 2010 or run for President. While the state and US constitutions prohibit either from happening, as Bush has shown us, who needs the Consititution?
