LOL!
Even on a normal football Saturday I either bail outta town or hibernate in my house all day...
:hide:
It's scary out there! And God Forbid you need to run normal Saturday errands and forgot there was a game, you can get trapped in the ultimate hell! Several years ago I was with a friend who was working on S Main just a couple blocks north of the big house. We were hanging out in her office for about a half hour on our way to another event, and we tried to leave right when the game got out. OOOPS! We were trapped for almost an hour! We hadn't even thought about the fact that there was a game (to our credit, it was the first home game of the season).
Don't get me wrong, I may be a townie but I'm not completely anti-football or anti-U of M ;) but believe me I will never make that mistake again!
Yeah, I am heading on a road trip at 6am tomorrow, so you won't hear me yelling "I HATE FOOTBALL" out my car window when I get stuck at some intersection cuz an out-of-towner is going the wrong way on a one-way street or something.
Seriously though, the town wouldn't be what it is without the U, and football Saturdays (and the Art Fair - that's even worse- it's 4 straight days of it!) come with the territory. I hope no one takes my little rant the wrong way, I really do have a sense of humor about it :)
And an ingrained sense of loyalty to U of M.
