Status Update, Please -- How is Michigan Choosing a Dem Nominee? |

Are we caucusing (sp?), or are we doing the "open vote" thing? Are we doing it at the same time as the Republicans? What's up?
And please keep it simple for the sleep impaired! LOL! :)

Not every candidate's name will be on the ballot.
There's a procedure for write-in votes to count but the candidates must register with the state before a specific date (I think it's around Jan 8 but I'm not sure.)
The MI Dems have 30 days to submit a plan to the DNC that is acceptable in order to have delegates to the national Convention. There may be caucuses; it's not known yet.
"Uncommited" will be an option on the primary ballot. I think that'll be a very popular choice for people.
