X-Posted from gd: If You Take This Advice "Dennis Kucinich Will Win Michigan"
all write in votes will be thrown away uncounted

only clinton, kucinich & gravel are on ballot

gravel is out of the race

"I'M URGING PEOPLE TO MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT TOMORROW. GIVE DENNIS KUCINICH A WIN"

on edit: this way kucinich can maybe raise some funds and stay in the race--"it's a great opportunity...give him a fighting chance...it will make a world of difference in the democratic race...perhaps you will stop this gender/race war...if edwards was on the ballot i'd recommend you vote for either edwards or kucinich, but if you write edwards name in YOUR VOTE WILL NOT COUNT...but we can make this into something good--all kucinich needs is 15%"

randi's show talked about this maybe 40 into the show today
sometimes ben gets her show archived by ten or earlier--you could check...

he has the link up to randi's show from today--but sometimes it's only partly downloaded if it's early. i'd wait a little longer and then see if you can get it.

1. I understand but...
Kucinich's numbers are really low. I was disappointed when I saw the FREEP poll numbers today. I'd like to vote for Denise and he does actually reflect my views but...

she was saying, if he gets 15% ...

he'll say in the debate and now i'm reading another thread that says a judge just court-ordered kucinich back into the debates in nevada tuesday night otherwise the judge is going to pull the plug and stop the debate!

i'll link in a minute:
here you go

3. I think he only needs 15% in one district to get delegates in that district.
I'm wondering if Denise can get 15% in Ann Arbor (my district). If he can get it anywhere it would be here. A number of people I've talked to like him but even in Ann Arbor people tend to follow big leads. It is really rare for a progressive candidate to make inroads - even in a place like Ann Arbor.

I wonder if there are any polls that would tell me how Ann Arbor is likely to go? I'd vote for Kucinich if I felt that he had a shot at 15% in my district.

4. so...if you don't vote for him do you vote for hillary or do you
write in uncommitted?

because you know if you vote obama or edwards your vote gets tossed out uncounted.

5. Yes, don't write-in
For me it is either Kucinich or Ron Paul. I don't accept "uncommitted" as legitimate. I'd much prefer to vote for Kucinich which would be a repeat of my 2004 caucus vote. But I'd like to see some poll numbers somewhere that give Kucinich a shot at actual delegates. We need to have a voice at the Denver convention.

8. I accept UNCOMMITTED as legitimate, and @ 30% of MI feels the same.
"I'd like to see some poll numbers somewhere that give Kucinich a shot at actual delegates. "
I don't think that poll exists.

If you don't want to vote for anyone on the ballot, vote UNCOMMITTED.
If you want to get "strategic" with your vote, you should probably vote for Romney given the reasons at dailykos.com
imo, of course.

6. There's something both sexist and smarmy about calling him "Denise" ...
... and I guess that says something about the source.

:puke: :puke:

9. woah, was that deliberate, you think?
I read it as sexist, then realized, no it must be a typo - I dismissed the idea that someone here would be that blatantly misogynistic, insulting men by calling them by a woman's name.

If it was deliberate, the person who posted it ought to apologize to the women here.

12. Damn. Then he does owe us an apology.
Note to progressive men: please stop insulting members of your gender by insinuating they are women. It makes me feel like I'm in a lower caste.

7. A couple of quick questions
HELLO MICHIGAN!

Q1: How many Democratic delegates does Michigan get assigned to the convention?
Q2: Will any MI delegates be "seated" at the convention, since they "leapfrogged" their primary date against the wishes of the National Dems?
Q3: Is there a statewide Dem Party convention that takes place later to assign delegates and superdelegates?

Thanks from OH14!
