Help stop recall of Aldo Vagnozzi, State Rep. in 37th District

Oh puleeze, these Goopers are just insane. The man has less than a year until his term limit.

Here's the scoop from a letter Aldo just sent out:

"The clarity hearing for the language on the petition to recall me will be heard on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 11 a.m. in Probate Court Room 1-D before Chief Judge Pezzetti, County Clerk Ruth Johnson and County Treasurer Patrick Dohany. The address of the courthouse is 1200 North Telegraph Road, Building 12 East in Pontiac."

If the judge rules in that the petition is OK, they will be circulated in Farmington/Farmington HIlls.

More from Aldo's letter:

"This effort to recall many of us who supported these items is being sponsored by people who live outside our district and our State. It is intended to divert our minds and energy from the business of the State of Michigan."

If you can get there on that day, please do so. He needs as much support as possible. He does not deserve this, and it is a total insult to a man who has served this community for many years in several capacities.

2. I have known him since I was a small boy.

I grew up in the same sub where he and his wife and kids lived. I raced on the swim team with his kids. When I saw this today, I nearly started to cry.
