Hillary Clinton thinks Michigan's primary was Fair
I think she should go jump in Lake Michigan

Speaking at a Hispanics caucus:
"If you are a voter from Florida or Michigan, you know that we should count your vote. The nearly two and a half million Americans in those two states who participated in the primary elections are in danger of being excluded from our democratic process and I think that's wrong. The results of those primaries were fair and they should be honored. Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of discussion about what we should do to ensure that the voters in Florida and Michigan are counted.

1. What's she been smoking?
Florida, maybe. Michigan, no way. Sure, it was fair to HER because hers was the only name on the ballot besides Dodd, Kucinich and Gravel. She'd just love for it to count. But until she and Obama are both on the ballot there's no way it can be considered fair.

If people fall for her argument, I've got a bridge to sell them.

4. I've been angry with them ever since they started this fiasco
I have a number of issues with party leadership in the MDP, the primary situation being the most grievous. At least they appear to be trying to come up with a solution, and Carl seems to think a mail-in could work. Hillary is the only one who refuses to go along with this, from what I've heard. It's her way or the highway and if we don't get agreement from everyone we won't get seated. And I don't think we should get seated without a redo. We broke the rules and we'll have to pay the consequences.

By "we" I don't mean the voters, obviously, but our misguided leadership who refused to back down when it was obvious that there little plan wasn't going to work.

5. She really is pathetic.
Ok... telling the voters that their vote won't go towards delegates, having a faux election, then telling the voters that their faux vote will now go towards delegates. Of course that is fair in Hillaryworld, because she will say and do absolutely anything to become President.

6. The pretense that anything can be done to eradicate the FUBAR of the primary is appalling.
Edited on Thu Mar-13-08 10:48 AM by TahitiNut
NOBODY was "right" in this detestable SNAFU ... except, perhaps, the voters. The perpetual privilege afforded Iowa and New Hampshire in the primaries is a despicable entitlement given to states with a demographic that disenfranchises far too many in this country - organized labor in particular. The internal struggle for political control of the party is appalling and the draconian penalties inflicted upon the VOTERS is wrong-headed beyond belief.

This is "scorched earth," zero-sum politics with a medieval mindset ... where the peasantry are the only victims.

That bell cannot be unrung. What we're now seeing is merely a further hypocritical exploitation of the victimization of Michigan VOTERS ... and not a single penny of campaign funds is being sent to the state in greatest need of the economic activity.

8. Country Democratic Party
I live in Michigan and the Democratic Party's Officers were all supporting of Hillary Clinton. I myself was for John Edwards at that time. There were instruction put out for the Democratic voters in the primaries on voting uncommitted if we did not see our choice on the ticket. The County I was connected with never put that in the local papers, I did for I received my information from another county party.
When Lieberman was defeated in his primary I believe Hillary told him to back the person who defeated him for it was done honesty and according to the rules.
I condemn her for not taking her name off of the ballot as others had done because it was in violation of the National Rules. The Michigan State Chair is to blame for the problem, and I think he should be resigning, for he used the Michigan Democratic voters to try and pull a quickly. The whole damn this is sick, as Clinton. She should go back and work as a Republican she did work for Berry Goldwater, it's in her book.
Don't forget to vote in November, we need to get our county back.
