What should be done to end the occupation in Iraq?

DOORS OPEN AT 7:00 PM

Royal Oak

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

in the Fellowship Hall off of Lafayette St.

Downtown, 2 blocks west of Main St.

As we start the sixth year of the war in Iraq, you are invited to attend a panel discussion where our panelists will answer the following:

What should Congress do to end the occupation of Iraq?

What should we the people do to get Congress to act?

Our speakers include Richard Peacock 11th Hour for Peace, Audrey Mantey Veterans for Peace, Scotty Boman Senatorial Candidate, Nancy Skinner former candidate. Also invited Senators Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow, Rep. Joe Knollenberg, and Congressional candidate Gary Peters.

This is the fifth Iraq Moratorium event to be held in southeastern Michigan. Iraq Moratorium, a national movement, asks Americans to call for an end to the occupation and war in Iraq by some action on the 3rd Friday of every month. It is endorsed by United for Peace & Justice (UFPJ), a coalition of 1,300 organizations nationwide. For additional information you can visit the web site, www.iraqmoratorium.org. 11th Hour for Peace www.11hour4peace.org is hosting this event, and it is co-sponsored by the Detroit Area Peace with Justice Network (DAPJN).

1. Osama Siblani has also accepted an invite to speak.
I just got that in an email today. He's the editor of the Arab American News, and I'm really excited to see him added to the panel.

2. That's good news, lw.
I guess none of the other invited people will be participating, then, since you haven't heard anything.
