My mother passed away last night

She died peacefully in her sleep after a three-month roller coaster ride from her diagnosis in January to a bout with sepsis that she managed to survive to nearly two months at home in hospice. Thankfully she was never in a lot of pain.

We pulled together a quick service this afternoon before her body was taken to the airport to begin its journey to Israel, where she will be buried. I will be at home all week sitting shiva. It's very difficult, but I'm glad she's finally at peace.

that when my time comes for health issues that my kids will be half as dedicated as Sharon has been. IMO Sharon's one of those people one is much richer for knowing.
