WTF is going on with my Tigers?
How are you mathematically eliminated before the the first week of the season is finished? And I kid, I realize it's a marathon season, but after losing the first 5 they put their ace on the mound tonight and get killed 13-2? I was worried about this bullpen before I knew that all our sure thing hitters couldn't hit, now I'm downright depressed. I know the hitting will come around, but hurry Dombrowski get some relief help.

As Marvin Gaye said "What's goin on?" "Will our ballclub win the pennant, do you think they have a chance?"

2. I'm with you, Gigi
I'm underwhelmed and was afraid something like this would happen after all the pre-season hype. I just had no clue it would be this bad.

3. It was depressing to see the first batter of the game knock it out of the park.
Then it got worse.

4. The Tigers are living proof that...
IF IT WORKS, DON'T FIX IT! In other words, I was a wee bit skeptical of the trades they made for Cabrera, etc. The team as it was made up did so well in the succeeding two years without too much change.

They brought up Jair Jurrjens last year and he kicked butt. So what do they do? Trade him. Sheesh.

I would be pretty pig headed if I said I knew more than Dombrowski does. The guy is a baseball genius. I just think sometimes that these big money trades don't always yield what you think they will.

This team looks out of sync in all areas of the game. I am heart broken, but I am not your fair weather fan. I have followed my Tigs good or bad...even when I lived out of state.

8. I totally agree.
The Indians did the same thing, and they're still rebuilding and trying to get out of the hole they put themselves in. Now it looks like the Tigers did the same freakin' thing. Gah!

They are out of sync. They're just not gelling as a team, and that's why they're losing. It's stupid.

5. Voodoo Boy Todd made it hard, but the skid is OVER!
Gawd, Jones drives me nuts, but this skid is over. They played like the Pistons do: AS A TEAM! I dunno if this means anything, but when you win 7-2 in Fenway, it really will make them feel better. Bless You Boys ain't the thing now. Those days are gone! This is the eclectic, weird sign-of-the-cross team that will make me feel nine years of age )1968) again. I remember meeting Willie Horton at a Lions Club meeting, and how thrilled I was at that club house in Royal Oak. I guess I am still a child in so many ways.

7. I'm not passing judgment yet
One game does not a season make. When they can do this consistently, I'll be happy.

12. Getting out of April 13-15 was a nice recovery
What were they 0-7? They've played .619 ball since then. They keep it up they'll win 96 games, and it's not like they've been clicking on all cylinders yet. I think we'll be ok.

14. Git yer brooms out. Tigs sweep the Crankies!
First time an opposing team has swept them in Yankee Stadium since 1966. YOUZA!

And yes, Todd was warming up in the pen, but they didn't need him.

Now for a sweep of those Avs to make my week complete!

The only player who is putting in an effort is the new kid Joyce, the game is still fun to him.
