She's "in my 'hood."
ROYAL OAK, Mich., Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Cindy McCain, wife of presidential hopeful Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was taken to a Detroit area hospital Wednesday after complaining of pain in her hand.

A spokesman for Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich., said Cindy MCain was treated and released, but didn't comment about where McCain went after leaving the hospital, Detroit television station WDIV reported.

McCain's campaign confirmed that Cindy McCain was taken to the hospital as a precaution for treatment of a "minor sprain." An attendee at a fundraising event in West Bloomfield, Mich., apparently shook Cindy McCain's hand a bit too strongly, aggravating her pre-existing carpal tunnel syndrome.

She was traveling with McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, as he planned to attend three Oakland County fundraising events Wednesday, campaign aides said.

No wonder the weather was crappy ... the sun didn't shine. The evil pair were here. Satan's minions were in town.
:puke:

(I can't even guess how many times I've 'visited' Beaumont in the last 6 years. Hundreds. It's a well-worn path.)

2. Once upon a time, the "Yorba Linda" Tourist Home was at the corner of Woodward and 13.

It was (reliably reputed to be) a "house of ill repute." Maybe Cindy is doing a nostalgia tour?

(I'm reminded of the association of Nixon with Yorba Linda (California) and always think it's ironic.)

3. Could be. She certainly plays the part of the plastic wife of a politician well.

5. Well, now it's one of the best hospitals in the country
Beaumont has a very good reputation-they and UM are the best hospitals in Michigan.

Blodgette and Butterworth in Grand Rapids used to be good, until Spectrum (Amway) took them over.

4. Wasn't she addicted to pain pills?
Edited on Thu Aug-14-08 11:17 AM by Strawman
I thought that seemed a little suspicious. I hope she is not having a relapse under the strain of campaigning. I wouldn't wish addiction on anyone.

6. Lucky for her she has good medical coverage!!
The millions of Americans without medical coverage would have had to suffer with the pain because they can't afford to go to a hospital.

7. Ubetcha. Not only that, but it doesn't seem she waited in the ER very long if at all.
Must be nice to be a multimillionaire.
