Michigan DU members, please contact the local NAACP branch offices to give them a heads up on what the GOP is up to. Yes, it is illegal to disenfranchise voters (they can still vote under their previous address for THAT TIME ONLY and must re-register at the polls.) The problem is many voters DON'T KNOW THIS IS ILLEGAL AND WILL BE TURNED AWAY!! I expect the foreclosure process to pick up speed in the coming weeks. These tactics will take place in areas heavily populated by African-Americans, but the first PUBLIZIED area is MACOMB COUNTY!

Sander Levin is the US congressman, and there are various state and local people who might be able to help. They keep offices in their districts for a reason. In Warren, call the city, see what they have to say.

Call the media-the Metro Times, the Free Press, Channels 2, 4, or 7.
