I've been off since Monday and spent last night at the Troy Hilton. There was a big Oakland County party and we had a smaller party in a suite for Sheila. We were up until 5:30 this morning tracking numbers for Sheila's race. It was up and down all night and she's less than 1% down by 5400 votes. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a recount.

Congrats to all of us! We should be proud of all the work we've all done to help make this happen.

4. Wonder if they will recount Spector race re-election to commission.

I really thought the county commisssion would flip because Steve Schwartz beat Mike "chair occupier" Rogers in my District 14. Damn, ya win one, ya loose one.

5. I wouldn't be surprised.

Karen was in our suite with us for quite a while last night and we kept watching her numbers. She was way down, but as W. Bloomfield started reporting (as opposed to Bloomfield Twp.), she caught up. By the time we went to sleep at 5:30, she was ahead. I was shocked to find out when I stopped by the OCDP office on my way home that she had lost. There were only two precincts left when she was ahead and we thought they were ones that were friendly to her. What a bummer! It's only 132 votes, so a recount would seem in order.
