I've owned American cars and 'foreign' cars. After today, I will only own Michigan cars....
Meaning cars that are made or sold in Michigan. And I'm not talking Toyota and the rest. If the rest of this country is willing to dump on Michigan...I'm perfectly willing to return the favor. So my next step is to investigate as many "southern" market selections as possible and bounce them off my economic list.

Sound silly? Probably is. Too hard to ferret out who makes what? Could be. Radical? Ok, I can live with that.

But if Michigan is going to continue to be abandoned by the Federal gov't, ignored by the federal gov' and totally destroyed by the southern senator shucksters in the south, I'll gladly return the favor in whatever way I can.

Buy local. Buy Michigan. Only.

1. If it helps, I plan to do as much Christmas shopping as I can in Michigan
and I live in Seattle! It's easier to shop once I get there for the holidays, and I feel good about spending money earned in Washington in Michigan.

3. Don't let that stop you from bringing salmon and chocolate-covered cherries.

I always shop and eat at owner-operated businesses whenever I can. Locally owned and operated businesses return the most to the local economy.

9. What are some fuel efficient MI cars that are good in the snow?
It sucks that the most fuel efficient cars seem to come from other countries. I am in the market for a car right now.

10. My Dodge Caliber is pretty good in the snow
And gets 30 mpg on the highway. Almost any Jeep product is great in snow; their smallest model is the Compass and has pretty good fuel efficiency too. Or you might look at the AWD Ford Escape Hybrid.
