Martha Reeves is bitching because Leno isn't performing in Detroit proper?
The City Council is totally insane. Maybe he should perform in her backyard. Would that keep her and Conyers happy?

1. I know the Pistons run buses out to the Palace, but will Jay Leno?
How are people supposed to get there?

2. They Don't Understand Anything.
Detroit people aren't the only ones that are unemployed. It seems like it's always all about "them". And I know some people that won't go if it is in Detroit. Those whiners need to take care of their business. A huge embarrassment to the whole region. Some of them (most) need to join their esteemed ex-mayor in Texas or in jail.

3. But's it's okay for her to sing in Ferndale, apparently
According to today's Free Press Martha Reeves is singing the national anthem at a benefit concert in Ferndale. Why isn't she agitating for THAT to be in the city?

Plenty of people in the metro area are out of work. If the Palace is willing to donate the venue and parking -- and they are -- then it's just fine that the show is there.

Conyers, Reeves, and Collins have somehow managed to make Detroit look even crazier than people already think it is. Shameful.

5. I saw that this morning too and I decided Martha may have lost it.
I doubt she can still sing that well but her buddy Barbara Rose may be with her for a duet. They are so embarrassing. Glad I live in the "evil suburbs".:D

4. Last I checked, Auburn Hills is in Metro Detroit
This is just perpetuating the suburb/Detroit division. We are a metropolitan area and our success or failure is dependent on each other. Reeves should celebrate the fact that Leno is actually doing something to help. Not only is he providing some entertainment for people who need it, he's putting the national spotlight on our area which has been ignored for decades. I hope she and Conyers are voted out of office because nonsense isn't helping Detroit.

6. Martha has been hanging around with Monica Conyers too much.
Cuckoo! Cuckoo! Almost the entire City Council should be recalled. They are a bunch of whack jobs.
