City Council says the train station has to come down!
And the owner has to pay for it. Have they totally lost their marbles? Here's the article: http://www.freep.com/article/20090407/NEWS01/90407070/1001/rss01

1. Noooo... what a beautiful structure!
I wish there could be something done with this building.

I do not know much about the station first-hand, but I have googled and YouTubed due to your post. What a rich history!

Needless to say, the City Council is out of their mind!

2. There have been so many failed plans for that building
I worked for an architect once who was working on one of them. We had the original, ink-on-linen drawings in the office. They were absolutely amazing. I always wonder what happened to them when he died.
