We need to lean on Carl Levin

I called his office today. According to a staffer there, Levin is:

-- Against Cap and Trade, but has no alternative plan and is waiting to see an idea he likes; and
-- More or less favors a public option for universal health care, but is waiting to see a bill and is not getting into the fray.

I love Carl. But he needs to get a bit more engaged. Sitting around waiting for others to act on the two most important issues of the day is, well, not what we pay him to do.

But, if Carl doesn't like that, then he should have an alternative idea, ya know?

Good for Sander. Taking a stand is what he gets his paycheck for.
