BREAKING: Bowman files papers to run for Gubna!
This guy is loaded with dough, but he might have issues about how much time he spends in state.

1. i have a hard time understanding
how an out-of-state (for all intents and purposes) millionaire is going to resonate with MI voters.

3. Not only is he an out-of-state millionaire
He's an out-of-state former Goldman Sachs investment banker. Yeah, I'm sure this will go over well with voters :eyes:

I can't see his campaign going well. If he actually wants to win the nomination, he needs to get going quickly. I'm sure he has very low name recognition.

He may want to consider moving here too.

4. LOL
I think Virg would be way better than Bowman, and I think people will be able to relate to him better once he starts going around the state and introducing himself. I hope he's getting started quickly.

6. Hmmmmm....I'll have to think about this.
I'm sure he'll come to Oakland County at some point soon.

I heard you on Bill Press yesterday with your best pick-up line. That hubby of yours is a pretty smart cookie.

7. Didn't he run for the AG nom?
there was practically a floor fight at convention. Amos Williams got the nom cause he worked the state, like the whole state. I remember Bowman came north once, left early and no one really knew who he was. Williams pu tin some time up here and in the UP.

9. No
It was Scott Bowen (who is now the lottery commissioner) who ran against Amos Williams

8. I sure like his point of view..

But, why waste his talents in Lansing..No one can deal with that..Finances are hopeless considering the National economic scene and the likely continuation of a GOP state Senate..
.. I predict the failures of a potential new GOP governor will backfire and Gov.Granholm will feel good she is out of the governor's chair... Engler made the mess with his 36 Billion in tax cuts.. Think a Gopper can solve it..
I'd rather see him A US Senator and make the Goppers eat chet..

11. Bowman Decides Not to Run
"Former state treasurer Robert Bowman won't run for governor after all.

Bowman, 54, in a news release, said he'd enjoy the challenge of a campaign, "but for many reasons I am just not able to commit to run at this time."
