For announcing today you're going to challenge the constitutionality of the HCR bill provision that mandates coverage. Jerk!
Mr. Cox is useless. No, worse than useless.
Where were you, Mr. Cox, last September when Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan proposed raising rates on individual policyholders, of which I am one, as much as 50%?
I didn't hear much more than a nominal peep or two out of Mr. Cox or his office back then.
Now, of course, the passage of HCR is suddenly a DIRE threat to Truth, Justice, and the American Way.
You didn't show much concern for me or other middle class Michiganians last October when you allowed BCBSM to raise my rates by 36.4%, did you, Mr. Cox?
You do, though, apparently, get worked up when someone threatens your corporate masters with some type of reform, albeit not nearly the level of reform we really need, eh, Mr. Cox? Funny, I suspect Cox shows a lot more fidelity to his corporate masters than he did to his wife.
I sort of had the gut feeling that Cox would be the frontrunner in the Repuke primary for Gov this summer, but so far, I've seen him only running 2nd or 3rd in most polls. With any luck, the teabaggers will come out in force in the primary and nominate some Repuke so extreme that this person will be unelectable in the general. That would hopefully mean goodbye and good riddence to Cox.
In the meantime, I guess we just have to keep fighting for what is right.
Oh, and looking forward with fear to NEXT October, when Cox will still be in office, and BCBSM will no doubt want to raise my rates by another 40 to 50 per cent. To which, no doubt, he will just smile and nod approval.
