Dear Friend:

We need your help. Natalie Mosher, the Democratic Party’s candidate for Congress in the 11th District, is fighting a tough race against incumbent Thaddeus McCotter. It’s critical that we turn the 11th District blue this election cycle. Natalie’s district is adjacent to mine and includes the suburbs of Detroit, spanning West Oakland and Wayne counties. Her opponent, Thaddeus McCotter, is wildly out of touch with his constituents and has voted in favor of outsourcing Michigan jobs overseas and cutting taxes for the rich.

I endorse Natalie Mosher because she is a fighter. Natalie cares deeply about the communities in her district. She has been endorsed by the Metro Detroit AFL-CIO, United Auto Workers Region 1A and by Michigan nurses' and teachers' organizations. I know she will work hard to bring quality jobs to Michigan, ensure that education receives adequate funding, and support equal pay for equal work.

Natalie has dedicated her career to public service, first as a public school teacher, then as a non-profit leader and advocate for revitalizing Detroit’s riverfront. In contrast, her opponent has proven himself a rubber-stamp supporter of the Republican Party’s politics of “no.” In the last Congress, McCotter voted against emergency funding to keep teachers employed during the economic crisis and against a law to ensure that women get equal pay for equal work.

I urge you to support Natalie with your contributions just as you have always supported me. I look forward to working with Natalie in Congress to enact the change that our constituents need. Thank you again for all that you have done for me in the past and for your support of Natalie Mosher.
