Help save the Michigan Film Industry and create our own October surprise
Go to http://www.rickswrong.com. We need to get our ad on the air in the next few days to create an October surprise of our own. An awful lot of people don't know that Rick Snyder wants to get rid of the film industry tax incentives. Please spread the word about this site to all your friends!

Thanks so much. You are so loyal and true to Nancy. It's greatly appreciated.

2. He is wrong
This is probably my biggest issue with Snyder. He's actually campaigning on the elimination of jobs and leading in the polls. I can't understand why people are supporting the guy who has eliminating jobs as one of his main goals.

The film incentives have been great. They've created jobs, brought investment to the state, attracted young/creative people (something Rick claims to care about), and provided excitement/hope for Michigan. I wish I had money to donate to get the ad on air. I hope it's able to be aired before the election. Defeating Snyder would be a great surprise.

3. We're trying, but not having a ton of success
Getting some small donations online and Nancy's getting some larger commitments on the phone, but I'm not sure if we're going to make it. I'll report back if we get it on.

5. Don't get too nervous
The polling has taken place in counties where Rick Snyder is favorable. The auto industry and unions are hard at work to get Virg elected. Our job is to encourage the base to come out. Let your friends and family know four years from now will be to late to change their mind. Hell it is what it is on November 3. We have a strong base that has many ethnic backgrounds to it. He has alienated all minorities. This may be a problem with Mr. Snyder. He has not engaged with all the people of this state. He is using the Southern Strategy right here in Michigan. He and his campaign have also isolated him from the media. He chooses not to engage with voters who's vote he must win. The closet he can engage is with a commercial showing a black man. To appear friendly to minorities.

Voter Suppression has already started. I have had complaints that people don't know where their voting center is because of school closings. They had problems getting Absentee ballots in a timely fashion (some still don't have one),The phone lines to the election commission in Detroit was busy or you would be put on hold until the line disconnects. And if they tell you Rick Snyder is winning in the polls you will feel its useless to come out and vote. This is what they are counting on. Do not give into the hype. Do what you do. Tell friends and relatives and who ever you must. If you can offer a ride on election day then do so. Together yes we can make a difference.

6. I sure hope you're right.
I also hope Snyder voters stay home because he's so far ahead in the published polls. That's how Engler won -- too many Dems stayed home because the Boy Gov was 17 points up in the polls.

7. The main thing
is we stress how important the vote is. Go to the DU home page and get the link for Keith Olbermans special comment. Put on your facebook page if you have one. Then send the link by email to friends and family. Time for some in your face politics. And also let them know, that all the little lovely perks that they enjoy like, unemployment, education, and all the public funded amenities will be in danger if Mr. Snyder becomes Governor. Republicans do not believe you are entitled to your tax benefits in any public form. This is your money.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Cm6eV2vvJM here's the link too important brought it to you at the last minute of response. Good Luck to us all in Michigan.

8. Can I say one thing?
If we get our ass kicked in state races on Tuesday as the polls suggest, then we need to take a hard look at the MDP leadership. I do not have to name names here. This failed leadership should have been messaging about this movie thing weeks ago. I have not seen one spot from MDP touting the film industry. I have a lot of other beefs as well, but most of you already know about those.

9. We asked said unnamed person today if he would blast it out for us
and he refused. I will blame him for every loss. I haven't spoken to one person who doesn't want to see new leadership.
