Goodbye, Governor Granholm.
Edited on Fri Dec-31-10 06:59 AM by Denninmi
IMO, you did a great job in really, really tough circumstances.

Thank you for your 12 years of service in state office, and all the best in the future, wherever it leads you.

2. me too.
Too many voters are idiots.. The jobs decline started in the last 2 years of Engler.. Jenny has been an inspiration with her goal of job diversification. The economy has already somewhat stabilized in her last day in office.. Time will prove her right..
As Moody told Snyder.. the Mich economy is sick and won't get significantly better. As is the case in most manufacturing states..
. I wish Jenny will in time seek other offices, she's needed..
Why hasn't the state dem's honored her with farewell dinner. If it were a public event , I'd be there...
.Enjoy Jenny. Hope her site will continue to tell us of her activities.. >

3. Well, my hope woud be, that when it's time for Carl Levin to retire...
... she would run for his seat. Or, the other thing, it would be nice to see her appointed by the Prez to either one of the federal appeals courts, or even to the S.C. if he gets another vacancy to fill.

4. Yes. I hope she gets a call from Obama soon.
As for a Senate run, I think she's a member of the DLC, so I'm not sure she'd be all that progressive. But of course we don't know. (I personally would like to see Hansen Clarke run in 2014.)

It's too bad the Constitution won't let Granholm run for President. But of course, I always like to joke that since Bush never followed the Constitution, why should she? ;-)

5. Bernero needed a new speech writer..
He was a popular guy when he spoke up for union workers and keeping the auto industry alive.. His you tube hits about 2 years ago were chart busters..
. When Michigan people realize busting business taxes to basement levels under Snyder won't turn Michigan's economy around - they will again turn on the goobers..
Then , Bernero's message on trade will be a big draw.. I say with a little more polish , Bernero's message could propel him to the Senate after Levin retires. Cause trade laws have devastated the manufacturing states and Michigan's business tax laws have little to do with it. Have fun today Snyder. Cause tomorrow you'll be in charge of finding $ 2 billion to cover the budget hole.
