Why does Michigan have a bicameral legislature?
Doesn't this just seem like a huge waste of tax payer money??? We already have elected representatives in the state legislature. Is this unnecessary bureaucracy? Am I missing something??

gerrymandering is fun to do and fun to say, and with two legislative bodies, you get to do it twice as often... though now, thank you SC and Tom DeLay, it looks like you can do it whenever you damn well please. So, I guess that makes my point moot. Thoughts on what effect that will have on Michigan's districts?

2. Everybody has bicameral, I think.
Other than Nebraska, isn't every state a Bi-Cam?
